AQUA-NC is a local group of queer-identified Asians, Pacific Islanders, South Asians, and Southeast Asians in North Carolina. Our mission is to facilitate a friendly, supportive, and safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, and questioning Asians and allies to create community. AQUA-NC was founded in October 2011 and is run by volunteers. We get together monthly for coffee, potlucks, movie nights, dinners, club nights, outings, and other events primarily in the Triangle and are hoping to sponsor our first film at the North Carolina LGBTQ Film Festival next year. If you live outside of the Triangle and would like to connect with us or have suggestions for events in your area, please click on the sidebar to join our googlegroup, Facebook page, or email us at asianqueers@gmail.com to get involved, we would love to hear from you!
